Mackie Debuts IEMs & Accessories

By

29 January 2018

It’s a first for Mackie — a line of in-ear monitors called the MP Series. The trio of models features single dynamic driver (MP-120), dual dynamic driver (MP-220), and dual hybrid driver (MP-240) versions. All models feature ergonomically moulded enclosures with three types of ear tips for comfort. The detachable cables are shielded and internally-braided and are equipped with MMCX connectors for easy wearing and flexibility.

“From loudspeakers to mixers and everything between, we have decades of experience creating gear for the stage,” says Matt Herrin, Mackie Product Manager. “We were excited to draw on that experience for the creation of these new in-ear monitors.”

Mackie introduced the HM Series headphone amplifiers at NAMM as well. The HM Series amps are available in three models, the compact HM-4, and the rackmount HM-400 and HM-800. All feature analogue circuitry and an array of connectivity options. The HM-4 has a single quarter-inch input and four quarter-inch outputs with individual level controls, ideal for tracking in the studio, mixing, practice spaces, or even at home. The HM-400 has a main input, aux inputs and EQ per channel, and a total of 12 headphone outputs. The HM-800 offers up to 10 available mixes and a total of 16 headphone outputs with two discrete main inputs with level control.

The MDB Series DI boxes were also released at NAMM, consisting of four different models — the MDB-1P passive direct box, MDB-2P stereo passive DI, MDB-1A active DI, and the MDB-USB USB stereo DI. Each model features analogue circuitry.

Other releases included the battery-powered MTest-1 cable tester and M48 48V phantom power supply.
