POSITIVE GRID ANNOUNCES PRO SERIES STUDIO PLUG-INS

Positive Grid gained its reputation with the famous BIAS guitar processing and amp modelling plug-ins. Now the company is introducing the new Pro Series plug-in lineup — introducing profiling and component based compression for the first time ever in a plug-in.
The matching compressor works by literally profiling a hardware compressor. Dynamic response is measured, along with pre and post filters, non-linear transformer characteristics and attack, release and ratio curves to capture the nuanced sound of any compressor. Three compressors are included — a FET, Optical and Tube model. Users can change the tubes to add different harmonic characteristics to the sound, while changing capacitors and transformers colours the sound and brings up the high and low end.
The Pro Series Studio plug-ins are supposed to be accessible not only to professional audio engineers but also to the everday muso. The GUI has been created with high-quality 3D rendered graphics to provide simple workflow while maintaining the overall experience of interacting with classic analogue gear.
