Stands With Style

24 May 2013

If you still haven’t gotten around to shifting your studio monitors off the desk or the console meter bridge here’s a cool-looking solution from Argosy. The Argosy Spire Speaker Stand uses a patented IsoAcoustics technology. They’re made with 32mm powder-coated MDF to provide a safe, sturdy, and resilient solution to isolate your monitors, and have beveled edges to create a stylish look to enhance the feel of your studio. The isolators are designed to do more than just isolate – they keep all movement on-axis, moving in the direction of the speaker cones’ travel, while resisting movement in other directions. The rear isolators also provide 6.5 degrees of tilt should you need it. The Argosy Spire Speaker stands come in two models, the 420i or 360i, which relates to the height of the stands (42 inch/1066mm and 36 inch/915mm) and are priced in Oz at RRP $695 and $675 a pair respectively. Stock is in. Further details about physical dimensions can be found here at Musiclab’s website.
