ALCHEMY MOBILE

Camel Audio has updated and released its Alchemy Mobile app, which is a free iOS version of Camel’s popular Alchemy 1.5 synthesiser. Described as a sample manipulating synth, Alchemy uses a slightly different-from-the-norm GUI that allows users to “morph” between presets and create some interesting results. The touch surface GUI of Alchemy Mobile makes this even more accessible although, not surprisingly, the app version doesn’t have many of the deeper features of the full software. Alchemy Mobile includes a limited factory library that gives you plenty of opportunity to hear the app’s capabilities. There’s also a four-track sequencer that allows you to whip up some groovy tunes of – theoretically – unlimited length. If you want to know more, we’ve done a review and the link is below.
