Korg has announced an important OS release for the Pa5X – version 1.4.2
Based on all the feedback Korg received, they have been able to produce this important OS update, fixing some key and some smaller issues in the Pa5X operating system.
Important issues addressed in 1.4.2:
– Style-transition volume impact
– Implementation of an additional Sysex-Filter reducing the MIDI-traffic
– MP3 file time-calculation
– Expression values for tracks in mode “OFF”
– Blocked tempo buttons while Metronome- and Search-windows were open
– Time-signature optimizations using different signatures in the arranger
– Style-Element trigger improvements (for Fill-Ins programmed as a ¼)
– Matrix PAD assignment

Korg will continue to evolve and improve the Pa5X operating system for its flagship arranger. There are many exciting developments to come in 2026 and beyond.
