OP-1: Redo the Undo
Firmware update adds Undo feature
Five years ago, we didn’t add undo to the OP–1 tape. We wanted to stay true to the feeling of recording at home with your 4-track. But to be honest, sometimes it’s nice to get a do-over. That’s why we are undoing what we did, we’re adding undo.
Tape undo
Perhaps the most requested feature on the OP–1. With the tape undo you can now run back the tape, fix your mistakes and have another go. Seven stages of undo give you the flexibility to make plenty of mistakes.
Midi control, improved sync and midi monitoring
Midi has been significantly expanded in 1.7.0. OP–1 field can now be controlled over midi across nearly all parameters, making it possible to integrate it directly into a setup and control it from external gear. External sync has also been improved, making OP–1 field play nicer with your other gear. A midi monitor has also been added, so you can see incoming midi and sync in real time.
And much more…
Alongside these new features, we’ve polished a lot of the existing features in the OP–1 field. You can check out the full list of improvements, and download the update on our downloads page, or go to the guides to see how to make the most of your OP–1 field.
