Korg’s Next-Gen Effect Pedals

Nu:Tekt TR-S & HD-S effect pedal kits.

By

6 February 2023

Korg has introduced two new Nu:Tekt effect pedal kits; the TR-S features a Nutube, to deliver the responsiveness and the feel of a vacuum tube guitar amp, and the HD-S which combines three different distortion circuits to create harmonic modulation that goes beyond the traditional concept of distortion.

Besides great tone, one of the advantages of the Nu:Tekt series is that you assemble them yourself. The TR-S kit doesn’t require soldering, and the necessary tools for assembly are included. End Users can enjoy building the kit as a DIY project, and the result is great-sounding pedals.

Nu:Tekt TR-S

The TR-S is an effects unit that features a Nutube, to deliver the responsiveness, the feel, of a vacuum tube guitar amp. With our new technology (patent pending) that makes use of the Nutube, you can achieve unheard-of compression effects, similar to a tube-powered amp even when recording or using a transistor amp.

Features:

  • Tube-like compression and feel in any situation
  • Nutube’s unique circuit configuration, in which the vacuum tube itself is operated by compression
  • The natural compression effect can be used for instruments other than guitar
  • In addition to the four knobs on the panel, there are three adjustment knobs inside the TR-S so you can further customise your settings
  • Easy and fast to assemble, and no soldering required

Nu:Tekt HD-S

The HD-S effects pedal combines three different distortion circuits to create harmonic modulation that goes beyond the traditional concept of distortion. This wide range of traditional and all-new sounds means the HD-S can be used not only with guitars but also with bass guitars, synths and anytime new and unique sounds are required.

Features:

  • Three distortion circuits create previously unheard sounds that go from conservative fuzz to aggressive distortion and more
  • In addition to the four knobs on the panel, there are three extra interior adjustment knobs to fine-tune your sound
  • Comes with a sticker with a portrait of the legendary creator, Fumio Mieda.
  • Easy and fast to assemble, and no soldering required
  • The HD-S can be used with guitars of course, but also bass, and synths
