Add Bass to Anything
SubCulture plugin adds low frequency to any mono source
Adding to its broad range of creative instruments and effects, Baby Audio presents SubCulture, a new benchmark in bass enhancement. Built to augment the low frequency content of any monophonic input, SubCulture lets producers build deep and powerful bass lines from virtually any source.
A new benchmark for bass
SubCulture automatically detects the pitch of incoming audio and locks its bass enhancement engines to each note, providing musical low-end extension that always stays in tune with the source signal.
Unlike psychoacoustic or synthesis-based approaches, SubCulture’s enhanced material is always derived directly from the input signal, ensuring it blends musically with the original to reinforce the low end. With three distinct bass enhancement processors and a suite of flexible shaping tools, SubCulture gives producers everything they need to achieve the commanding low end required for modern mixes.
The complete processing suite for bass
SubCulture comes equipped with all the essential tools to craft a polished, mix-ready bass sound. At its core are the three bass enhancement engines: Sub Layer, Root Boost and Resonance.
Sub Layer adds a pitch-shifted sub-octave version of the input signal at up to two octaves below the original. Root Boost is a pitch-tracking EQ band that provides up to 18 dB of boost or cut at the fundamental frequency of each incoming note. Resonance is a parallel filter network inspired by classic analogue designs. Optimized to work together in complementary dimensions, each processor plays a role to reinforce, enhance and extend the critical low frequency material in the signal.
SubCulture’s analogue-modeled saturation and compression sections give users direct access to powerful mix tools for adding punch, harmonics and dynamics control optimized for bass.
But SubCulture isn’t limited to bass signals. It can add layers to any source, opening up creative sound design possibilities for vocals, leads, melodic material and more.
SubCulture launches with 177 custom presets from top producers and sound designers including Craig Bauer, Dakota G and Eryck Bry.
SubCulture will be released on July 14th, 2026 with an introductory price. It is compatible with all major DAWs for Mac and PC.
