FREEDMAN ON KOCHIE’S BUSINESS BUILDERS

Rode founder and MD Peter Freedman made an appearance on the Seven Network’s show ‘Kochie’s Business Builders’ hosted by Aussie TV personality David Koch. Freedman spoke about the formation and early years of Rode, the keys to the business’s success, and stressed the difference made by Rode’s large investment in cutting edge manufacturing technology.
It’s definitely quite the success story that actually began out of sheer desperation on Freedman’s part — a bid to escape from financial trouble. Initially he was content with selling 500 mics per year to stay afloat. As it turns out, 2016 will see Rode sell over a million mics, with a presence in over 100 countries. The company recently doubled the size of its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Sydney.
