New MMC4018VLCapsule for DPA dfacto Vocal Microphone_rs

DPA Microphones will be adding to its popular d:facto handheld range by launching the d:facto Vocal Microphone at Prolight + Sound 2016. Unlike the original d:facto Vocal Microphone which has a 3dB soft boost at 12kHz, the new version is designed for extreme linearity in frequency response — ideal for sound engineers who want the ability to craft the sound from a neutral starting point.

The updated d:facto Vocal Microphone has a new capsule with an isolation-optimised supercardioid polar pattern and SPL handling up to 160dB. In keeping with the modular capabilities of the d:facto range, the capsule can be removed and replaced with any other d:facto capsule to suit different recording or performance requirements.

“The d:facto Linear Vocal Microphone is ideal for PA amplification and recording,” says DPA’s Vice President of Marketing, Anne Berggrein. “We are happy to add another great capsule to the d:facto range that will give ambitious sound engineers even more possibilities to achieve the best sound.”

DPA also plans to unveil the GM1600 Gooseneck microphone mount for its d:screet omni miniature microphones at Prolight + Sound 2016. The new mount is designed to never blemish or scratch an instrument, while giving plenty of flexibility for optimal placement.
