Neural DSP Updates

Neural DSP has announced the release of two major platform updates: CorOS 3.3.0 for Quad Cortex and NanOS 2.2.0 for Nano Cortex. Together these releases introduce Neural Capture Version 2, one of the largest virtual device expansions in the company’s history, hundreds of next-generation V2 Captures, substantial workflow improvements, and key new features for both hardware platforms.

CorOS 3.3.0 and Cortex Control 1.4.0

CorOS 3.3.0 is one of the largest updates ever released for Quad Cortex, centered on Neural Capture Version 2, a next-generation capture technology trained via Cortex Cloud for significantly higher resolution and expressive accuracy. V2 delivers:

• Higher-resolution modelling and greater dynamic accuracy
• Enhanced realism for complex, touch-sensitive devices such as fuzz pedals, compressors, and responsive amplifiers
• Improved tracking of expressive behaviours, including dynamic cleanup, sag, bloom, and transient response
• More precise control modelling, including blend knobs and other nuanced parameters

CorOS 3.3.0 also includes a wide range of fixes and stability improvements.

NanOS 2.2.0

NanOS 2.2.0 brings Neural Capture V2 Player functionality to Nano Cortex, along with several highly requested features and usability upgrades. Nano Cortex can now load and play V2 Captures created on Quad Cortex. V2 creation is currently limited to Quad Cortex, with support for Nano Cortex creation under development. NanOS 2.2.0 users will also be able to access the new 669 V2 Captures across 41 device types on the official Neural DSP Cortex Cloud profile. NanOS 2.2.0 also introduces:

• Tremolo, available in Post Effects Slot 1
• Automatic Sum to Mono, summing all outputs when using a single cable
• Offline Cortex Cloud mode, enabling device settings access without an internet connection
• Capture auditioning directly in Cortex Cloud
• Cloud backups, supporting up to five stored backups
• Preset rearranging via drag and drop in Cortex Cloud

NanOS 2.2.0 adds a range of stability improvements.
