HK Audio is set to make musical history by attempting a world record — providing sound for 10,000 performing musicians in front of 30,000 fans at Frankfurt’s Commerzbank Arena. The musicians range from big stars to hobby players, and everything in between. The event, called ‘We’re filling the stadium: powered by HK Audio’ will take place on July 9th 2016.

The record to break is 7,224 participating musicians, who combined in Brisbane in 2013. Nicolas Petit, HK Audio’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “We’re delighted to be making history as part of this incredible event. We’re fascinated by the energy of great sound, and so we can’t wait to experience the sheer power an orchestra of 10,000 musicians can create. It’s going to be a blast.” Later in the day, the 40,000-strong crowd will enjoy performances by German artists Yvonne Catterfield, Johannes Oerding and Daniel Wirtz. Musicians keen to be a part of the big day can register at the event’s homepage.
