dBTechnologies Launches Vio L212 Array in Bali

By

13 September 2018

Italian loudspeaker manufacturer dBTechnologies hosted a Distributor Meeting this week in Bali as an opportunity for its Asia Pacific distributors to get an inside look at what’s happening in the company’s offices and production lines.

Held at a resort in sunny Badung, the three-day event brought together representatives from a number of dBTechnologies distributors who flew in from Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, China, Singapore, India, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, French Polynesia, Japan and more.

dBTech presented its guests with an articulate summary of the company’s exponential growth in the APAC region over the last 10 years — sales have grown an astonishing twelve-fold in the past five years. With products like DVA and Vio wooing the mid-range rental and installation markets with a near-irresistible value proposition, it’s not hard to see why. And of course, dB’s bread and butter range of active loudspeakers such as the Opera and BH Series keep selling like hotcakes.

After the sales reports, the new product introductions began. Some offerings, like the new flagship Vio L212 dual 12-inch line array system, will be available in Australia in the near future. Others are still in R&D to be released closer to 2020. Though we can’t talk about the details yet, we can assure you of some exciting additions that cater to several segments of the market.

On Wednesday night, everyone was shuttled to a different venue for the official APAC launch of the Vio L212. Two hangs of 12-a-side with 18 S218 subwoofers were more than sufficient to get the party started at this idyllic location near the beach. The full-scale system offers the mid-range pro audio market a huge amount of value for the price. No doubt the big PA players will be feeling the heat.

National Audio Solutions, the Australian distributor for dBTechnologies, was presented with an award for Best Technical Partner, 2017.
