The latest toy to come from Radial’s direction is the Mix-Blender — a new dual-function pedal that lets you mix two instruments or effects signals together and blend in effects like a mixing console. Part of Radial’s Tonebone line, the pedal is designed to give more control to guitarists and bassists. Instead of just an on/off switch when throwing effects into a signal chain, now you can add any degree of the effect to the signal path while retaining the original tone. Two inputs can be connected simultaneously into the two discrete Class-A buffers with adjustable level controls. It’s a unity gain device — no amplification here, so the signal is simply passed on without being coloured or affected. The unit can be powered either with a Boss-style 9V adaptor or pedal board power brick.
